It\u2019s what allows your credit card company to instantly detect fraud\u2026 and your autonomous Lyft vehicle to shuttle you from one end of the Las Vegas Strip to the other.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet only half of all marketers include AI as a part of their current strategies. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/research\/what-does-ai-mean-for-future-of-marketing\/\">SalesForce\u2019s \u201cState of Marketing\u201d report<\/a>:\t<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>51% of marketing leaders say that they currently use AI in some capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>27% plan to start using it over the next two years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-performing marketers are more than twice as likely as underperformers to use AI. (72% report current use.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at a few ways brands can harness the power of artificial intelligence for their current marketing strategies&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>#1 Chatbots for better customer experiences.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful marketing hinges on the ability to build trust and relationships with an audience. For many companies, real-time person-to-person interaction simply isn\u2019t possible at scale. That\u2019s where chatbots come in.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chatbots allow customer service and sales teams to engage with users in meaningful ways. From walking a potential new customer through a sale to reminding a client about an upcoming appointment, chatbots can be integrated into many facets of the customer experience.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Many top brands have begun experimenting with chatbots as a replacement for traditional email marketing. Neil Patel describes an <a href=\"https:\/\/neilpatel.com\/blog\/open-rates-facebook-messenger\/\">88% open rate and 56% click-through rate<\/a> with chatbots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other marketers are reporting a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/olyo\/messenger-chatbots-can-lead-your-campaigns-to-a-98-open-rate-7292db19158f\" target=\"_blank\">98% open rate and 44% click-through rate<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Even if those figures <em>are <\/em>highly inflated, consider that the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/whats-a-good-email-open-rate-and-how-you-can-improve-yours\/\" target=\"_blank\">average email open rate is between 26%<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/sales\/average-email-open-rate-benchmark\" target=\"_blank\">32% (depending who you ask)<\/a>. So, why <em>not <\/em>experiment with something different, like a chatbot?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>#2 Predictive Suggestions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Netflix is the master of using AI for predictive suggestions. Gone are the days when a movie or TV show was recommended solely on its critical acclaim or overall popularity among viewers. Today, Netflix uses AI to make predictive suggestions based on your viewing history, frequency, volume, and other watching habits. Service upsells and shopping cart add-ons (\u201cCustomers who bought this also bought\u2026\u201d) have huge growth opportunity when managed through AI predictive suggestions.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Oh, and p.s. \u2013 several weeks ago Netflix announced their plans to use AI to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/nicolemartin1\/2019\/01\/10\/ai-being-used-to-bust-those-netflix-account-moochers\/#86c62e411720\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">crack down on \u201caccount moochers.\u201d<\/a> So, if you need to make any adjustments\u2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>#3 Dynamic Pricing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not just for Uber rides or airline tickets, dynamic pricing can be used in ecommerce to raise and lower prices in relation to either a product\u2019s supply\/demand balance <em>or <\/em>competitors\u2019 pricing\u2026 or both.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Supply &amp; Demand: <\/strong>If demand increases or supply decreases, prices go up. If demand falls or there\u2019s a glut of supply, prices can diminish accordingly. AI can be used to track these changes in inventory and ecommerce conversion rates, adjusting price as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Competitor Pricing:<\/strong> Many tech savvy companies are deploying bots to crawl competitors\u2019 websites and check prices.
